I worked with Attorney Derek Dee after being denied by three other firms. The VA kept saying my mental health wasn’t service-connected—even though I had no issues before enlisting and everything started after. Derek never gave me false hope. I am a Vietnam Veteran listed on the Agent Orange Registry. I had throat cancer in 2008 and esophageal cancer in 2018. I still have issues with dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), chronic fatigue, and other physical and mental effects from these two cancers. No law firm here in Ohio would take my VA Disability appeal since I was working part-time. I started working with VA Disability Group (Andy Walker & Derek Dee) in 2018. The appeal process was overwhelming and discouraging. Darek and his team were very patient and encouraging. He offered excellent guidance to get the right medical evaluations. I was awarded a 90% rating with an unemployability clause in Dec. 2024. This outcome was way better than we expected.
