Will the lawsuit be against the insurance company or the property owner?

Irving M. Blank
Answered by attorney Irving M. Blank (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Blank Marcus, LLC
The suit is against the property owner, but you should be concerned that no appearance has been made by the insurance company. They may not know about the suit and that may create an opportunity for them to deny coverage. Call your lawyer and demand an explanation of the status of your case.

If he turns his mower over on my side and is injured, could I be liable?

Michael G Heilmann

Personal Injury lawyer at Downriver Injury & Auto Law
No, you would not be liable unless there is a hidden danger that you know about and don't warn them about.

Is the offer made by the adjuster fair?

Answered by attorney Gary Lee Platt (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Gary Lee Platt
It's impossible for an attorney to tell you whether this amount is "fair" without a lot more information, and anyone who tells you otherwise is either lying or doesn't know what he/she is talking about. In order for an ATTORNEY to answer this question, he/she needs to know what kind of injuries you suffered, how long did you receive medical care/treatment and what type of care/treatment you received, who gave you the treatment, what the prognosis was when your treatment was finished, what was the damage to your car and the other vehicle(s) involved, how the accident happened, etc. An attorney would be foolish to spend enough time with you to learn all these details and then answer your question free of charge (unless he/she was doing you an enormous favor, or was a relative or very good friend). You should consult an attorney for the answer, then pay him/her for the expertise.
