About Jayson A. Chizick

Jayson graduated from Michigan State University College of Law in 2000. He has practiced in the area of workers' compensation for the majority of his career, and he focuses his practice on helping injured workers through the workers' compensation system.

Jayson is a member of both the Michigan and Florida State Bar Associations.

Jayson was honored to be elected Chairperson of the State Bar of Michigan Workers' Compensation Law Section for the 2021-2022 term. As the leader of the Section, Jayson has been hard at work engaging with the Workers' Compensation Agency Director, Board of Magistrates and attorneys representing both injured workers and employers toward fostering a more open and efficient workers' compensation system in Michigan.

Jayson joined Jay Trucks & Associates in January 2013.

He is an avid hockey fan and enjoys spending time with his family.

After suffering a devastating spinal fracture at work and struggling to communicate effectively with the workers comp insurance company, I contacted Jay Trucks & Associates to navigate where I was having trouble. Jayson (the workers comp expert attorney assigned to my case) listened to my entire story, showed compassion for my hardships (with the injury and the insurance company), and went to work to remedy my concerns. Jayson was always accessible by phone and responded promptly to my litany of emails throughout the entire process. I thought I was going to have to suffer in silence and stress due to my injury—and lack of knowledge about the insurance industry—but Jayson and his associates did all the heavy lifting. I’m so grateful that I can now focus more on my healing and my future without having the weight of insurance company jargon dragging me down emotionally.

A stressful and confusing situation arose after a back injury at work on three occasion’s I was denied Worker’s Comp. I had a free consultations with Jayson Chizick, briefly telling him what had happened. We talked and he was hired. He also informed me about the no fee unless we win.. I felt comfortable talking to him. He is easy to contact and quick to answer questions and concerns. He kept me informed about my case. He is understanding and patient, especially during stressful time hands-down, he fought for me and he helped me by winning my case, although I have never met him in person or had to attend court, he did a wonderful job thank you, Jayson Chizick for your services.
