Not Like Every Other Law Firm

James R. Barnes worked for a large firm for much of his career and has learned that bigger is not always better. Our firm doesn't waste effort on overstated office buildings and expensive advertising that can result in an atmosphere where attorney’s take on too many cases to pay for an inflated overhead. Instead, we prefer to focus our time, resources and finances on our clients and their needs. At the law firm of James R. Barnes, you will be treated as an individual, not just another case.

Our mission is to provide personalized service, excellent legal representation and, most important, positive results.

Mr. Barnes dedicates his practice to cases involving criminal defense and personal injury. He provides legal representation for Federal and State courts in the counties of Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton.

James Barnes is by far the best lawyer I could have possibly retained! I do not understand how one of the top 3 lawyers in Pensacola, is also one of the least inexpensive lawyers in Pensacola.  Either way, it is all good for those that are lucky enough to hire James Barnes.

Mr. Barnes, while having a very "down to earth" approach, maintains a professional attitude. He is a straight shooter and gets right to the point. He obviously has the knowledge and experience needed as he answered my questions directly and honestly, and gave decisive advise that helped guide me to the best possible results. I wouldn't consider anyone else. Aside from all of this, he was super affordable, easy to work with, and got excellent results! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!

I really don’t write reviews. In this case, I feel the need to express the positive experience I encountered with Mr. Barnes legal representation. I was scared and facing charges that would have completely impacted my life when I hired Mr. Barnes. He did an amazing job during my trial and I was found not guilty. Mr. Barnes enabled me to get my life back to normal. I am forever grateful for his kindness, understanding and awesome legal abilities.

Barnes was very professional in the court room, was clear he cared about his appearance compared to the other lawyers in the room. He was straight forward, honest, and a personality that stood out.
