Working with Mr. Thomas was the best decision I made for my health and my future. I was recommended to Berry Law by a fellow veteran that used their service and was very happy. I contacted Berry Law and was treated with respect and concern. At this point I was receiving nothing from the VA and the VA stated they could not find my claim. I had to start the process all over again and this has been going on for years. My first claim I received a rating of 10%. I was so disappointed. A highly motivated and skilled attorney for Berry Law, Montana Crow started to represent me. She is fantastic, she has handled everything and after many claims and appeals in the last several years I went from 10% rating to 80% with a backpay award and 100% benefit. I had been trying to navigate the complexities of the VA's disability claims process myself for over 2 years with no success. As soon as Jennifer was assigned to my case, she immediately reviewed my entire file that encompassed 35 years, devised a winning strategy, patiently explained her rationale to me, and then got to work writing the first supplemental claim. She submitted 3 separate supplemental claims on my behalf and was successful on the third attempt. The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
