I just want to say “BRAVO ZULU” to Matthew Bartling of Berry Law. They were recommended to me by a close friend who had used them before and when I told him the issues I was having with filing for VA disability he thought they would be able to help me. What an understatement, they accomplished what I could not. I called Berry when I had my decision letter denying a lot of my claims and Matthew out of Lincoln NE was assigned to me as my case manager. Right from the first phone call discussing my case I knew I was working with group of professionals that understood the VA complicated rules and processes. This journey started on 10 May 2023 and I received a decision letter in July 2025 awarding me 100% P&T Disability. The entire time I was expertly guided through the process by Matthew and his team to the top of the hill. The award has made my life much easier and will allow me to retire knowing I can take care of my family after 47 years of serving the United States Navy.
Berry Law helped me to win my disability case. Everyone knew that my injuries and conditions where from my military service. Only problem is the VA wouldn't approve my disability. After 1 years of various review levels, Berry Law provided the legal rules to the VA and my case was approved! I went from 50% to 90% and they are working on a 100% I highly recommend using Berry Law for any VA disability claim! Without them I'd still be having my claims denied by the VA and really not understanding why. Thank you Berry Law!
I can’t thank Montana Crow and her paralegal Tuesday Metcalf-Hofts enough for their outstanding work on my VA benefits claim. From the moment they took on my case, they demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to helping veterans. They were always clear, responsive, and compassionate—making a stressful process feel manageable. Montana’s knowledge of the VA system and her dedication to justice were evident throughout the entire process. Tuesday was incredibly helpful and organized, keeping me informed and answering all my questions with patience and care. Together, they make an incredible team. Because of their hard work and advocacy, I finally received the benefits I had been fighting for. If you're a veteran struggling with the VA, I highly recommend Berry Law—especially Montana and Tuesday.
I chose Berry Law because a colleague praised their success with VA disability claims. I worked with David Ossian, a former Marine, and his team. They maintained open communication, explained the process clearly, and thoroughly reviewed my military records to uncover health conditions that supported my case. Their diligence and care made a real difference. I strongly recommend Berry Law to any veteran seeking reliable, knowledgeable support.
This Law firm was easy to work with, they were professional, friendly, responded back to my calls in a prompt time manner Corrina Bartels was very good to work with.! I received more than I can ever think of and she continue to fight for my case and I really appreciate that!

Berry Law was instrumental in bringing this eight year fight with the VA to a successful 100% P&T rating. I would and do recommend any Veteran contact a law firm to ease the headaches of fighting the VA alone. Berry Law is comprised of former military people who actually care about you and your fight. An excellent team. Just call them.

I reached out to Berry's Law in September of 2024. At the time I was rated 70% and had some pretty severe disabilities that the VA was ignoring and/or not service connecting. Fast forward to August 2025 and I am rated 100% P&T. Claims that I have been going back and forth with the VA over the last 10+ years, that kept getting denied (some wouldn't even grant me a proper C&P exam) have now been approved. Specifically I worked with one of their attorney's named Jacob Fry. I could not recommended him and this service enough. I've spoken to other vets and there is definitely a stigma around using VA attorneys for services like this and of course they take their cut but only if your rating increases. The VA will send them their cut behind the scenes and you don't pay anything out of pocket. I let every single vet I know struggling to get their deserved disability claims approved to use them. TRUST ME. I've done tons of research and unanimously Berry's Law is always rated the best.
I want to thank Berry Law, in particular David Ossian, Tuesday Metcalf-Hofts, and the team who helped me with my disability compensation claim. I chose Berry Law because of their vast experience helping Veterans and their professionalism. The team at Berry Law was relentless in pursuing a positive outcome and kept me informed throughout the entire process. I highly recommend that Veterans who have faced challenges with the Veterans Administration regarding their claims contact Berry Law. It is a pleasure dealing with them.
I know John Berry as our honorary commander for the 50 Mile March in 2023. When I was in my second rear-end accident in February I’d had enough and reached out. Evan Stein reached back to me almost immediately. I asked if this minor accident was even worth their time to pursue and he assured me that it was. We communicated several times, usually with updates on the status of the case and any expectations. The case was resolved probably in record time. Thanks Evan for your concern and caring demeanor. Well done!
Martindale-Hubbell® Client Review Ratings™ display reviews submitted by individuals who have either hired or consulted the lawyers or law firms.
The Client Review Rating score is determined through the aggregation of validated responses. People who submit reviews are either individuals who consulted with the lawyer/law firm or who hired the lawyer/law firm and want to share their experience of that lawyer or law firm with other potential clients. Reviewers can be anyone who consults or hires a lawyer including in-house counsel, corporate executives, small business owners, and private individuals.
Martindale-Hubbell validates that a reviewer is a person with a valid email address. As part of the review process, respondents must affirm that they have had an initial consultation, are currently a client or have been a client of the lawyer or law firm identified, although Martindale-Hubbell cannot confirm the lawyer/client relationship as it is often confidential. The content of the responses is entirely from reviewers.
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome and Martindale-Hubbell accepts no responsibility for the content or accuracy of any review. For more information on Martindale-Hubbell Client Review Ratings, please visit our Client Review Page
Martindale Peer Reviews
Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are the gold standard in attorney ratings, and have been for more than a century. These ratings indicate attorneys who are widely respected by their peers for their ethical standards and legal expertise in a specific area of practice.
The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
