Hired Law Firm
I tried do it the easy way but quickly found out that doing it by myself, even with a vso, is the hard way. I got denied a couple times, got defeat and gave up. Then my dad a Korean War vet told me about Berry Law. Initially I wasn't going to do it but when they got him 80% and here I am sitting on 20% I figured what could I lose. Best decision made. My initial contact was with Krystal and she has been the definition of a fighter. Sticking with me, standing with me, and using all her skills to get me what I deserve. That pitbull tenacity is what I was looking for and found. The outcome so far is that my benefits have doubled and the extra income and definitely needed and welcomed and I would have never gotten it if not for the associates at Berry Law!
I’ve enjoyed having David Ossian and Tuesday work on my case. VA can be difficult at times David and Tuesday have maintained contact with me and explained everything step by step. They always have words of encouragement for me and their other clients. Highly recommend them.
Mrs Costello and everyone at Berry Law that I interacted with were professional and very understanding about my situation. I chose Berry Law because of there depth of knowledge in dealing with Veterans. At the very start they said they would work hard to represent me. And they did just that. The whole process was painless and I felt comfortable with them representing me. To any Veteran in need of representation, if you read this you need to hire Berry Law and specifically Mrs Costello.
I served in the Marine Corps in a weapons company for six years ( 0311/0331). I started a VA claim in 2021, attempting to do it by myself. VA only rated me at a mere 10% for multiple issues. A friend recommended contacting Sarah Hardy at Berry Law. Sarah has been awesome and super smooth at helping. Because of Berry Law and Sarah I was now given a fair rating! Thank you Sarah for your help!
First I would like to say a heart felt thank you to The people at Berry Law. I worked with Deb Hansel who was so nice and made the process easy for me. She and all the people at Berry Law will forever be in my prayers.
Rachel is truly amazing! When she started on our case she made sure to address all of our concerns in both a professional and personal manner. Working with her felt less like being strangers and more like we were peers. She is extreme diligent in her work and everything was done without delay. She explained everything to us in a way we could understand what was happening and updated us the second she received new information. There was never a moment that we felt unsure with her guidance. She’s truly an amazing lawyer! A&M VB
Working with this lawyer was wonderful. She does an outstanding job! I used this firm to advocate for Veterans Benefits. She fought for me during a difficult time, when I had little hope. Thanks to her I’m am getting the help I need and benefits I earned!

Hired Law Firm
I chose Barry Law Firm because of their reputation, and Katie Domzalski, in particular, really reassured me and guided me through the process. And in the end, I ended up with 100% disability rating in just 1 month.
Reviews
These client and peer reviews are from the Martindale-Avvo Legal Network.
Martindale-Hubbell® Client Review Ratings™ display reviews submitted by individuals who have either hired or consulted the lawyers or law firms.
The Client Review Rating score is determined through the aggregation of validated responses. People who submit reviews are either individuals who consulted with the lawyer/law firm or who hired the lawyer/law firm and want to share their experience of that lawyer or law firm with other potential clients. Reviewers can be anyone who consults or hires a lawyer including in-house counsel, corporate executives, small business owners, and private individuals.
Martindale-Hubbell validates that a reviewer is a person with a valid email address. As part of the review process, respondents must affirm that they have had an initial consultation, are currently a client or have been a client of the lawyer or law firm identified, although Martindale-Hubbell cannot confirm the lawyer/client relationship as it is often confidential. The content of the responses is entirely from reviewers.
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome and Martindale-Hubbell accepts no responsibility for the content or accuracy of any review. For more information on Martindale-Hubbell Client Review Ratings, please visit our Client Review Page
Martindale Peer Reviews
Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are the gold standard in attorney ratings, and have been for more than a century. These ratings indicate attorneys who are widely respected by their peers for their ethical standards and legal expertise in a specific area of practice.
The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*
• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
• Notable: This rating indicates that the lawyer has been recognized by a large number of their peers for strong ethical standards.
Lawyers who have received peer reviews after 2009 will display more detailed information, including practice areas, summary ratings, detailed numeric ratings and written feedback (if available). Details for individual reviews received before 2009 are not displayed.
Attorneys that receive reviews from their peers, but not a sufficient number to establish a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating, will have those reviews display on our websites.
Ratings and reviews are feedback from people who have either consulted an attorney about an issue (but may not have hired the attorney) or people who hired an attorney as a current or former client and provided their feedback to our sister site, Avvo.com.
