About Jonathan W. McConnell

Jon McConnell was inspired to pursue law because of an inherent need to help others. His father is a pastor, and Jon knew at an early age that he would either follow in his father's footsteps or become a defense attorney. However, Jon feels the most reward when he protects someone who is at the lowest point of their lives. They don't have a friend in the world and have nowhere else to turn. Helping others brings out the best in Jon. In order to do the most good, Jon fulfilled his calling by becoming an attorney. Jon doesn't pass judgment on people. His job is to protect clients when it seems that everyone else is against them.

Jon has a successful and proven track record as a defense attorney. He has taught criminal justice at WSU, served as an Assistant District Attorney under Nola Foulston, and successfully prosecuted the first passenger DUI case in the State of Kansas. Jon likes challenging situations, and uses aggressive and bold tactics to defend the rights of his clients. While he maintains some traditional norms of the legal field, Jon employs a fresh and modern approach to an ancient craft. Having Mr. McConnell handle my traffic case was the right decision. I didn’t k ow what to do or handle the situation. He explained all of my options to me and talked about what the most likely results would be. After I decided on a course of action he got to work quickly, resolving my case with an excellent result. I can not say enough good things about the McConnell Law Firm! Every employee I have communicated with has been kind, respectful, and empathetic. Mr. McConnell is definitely highly respected within the judicial system. A family member was charged with several serious felonies and Mr. McConnell was able to convince the courts on probation. Then a year later there was a probation violation that should have resulted in significant jail time, but Mr. McConnell convinced the courts to give the family member one more chance. I sincerely believe he has worked miracles for us and achieved outcomes that no other attorney could. I am forever grateful to this firm and highly recommend them without reservation.

McConnell Law Firm is the best law firm that has ever represented me with legal/court issues. The lawyers and administrative staff are professional, personable, and thorough in keeping me informed of the proceedings and current status of legal issues being attended to by the law firm.
