With more than 30 years of experience, Paul Barden focuses his practice on two areas where the stakes are high: representing clients seriously injured by negligence or misconduct, and defending licensed health care professionals in disciplinary proceedings before New York’s Office of Professional Discipline and Office of Professional Medical Conduct. Paul’s interest in medical-legal cases started in the Army, where he served as a Judge Advocate with the Army Claims Service. In that role, he supervised and adjudicated medical malpractice, motor vehicle, and other injury claims across multiple claims offices and states, receiving deep training in claim investigation, injury evaluation, and tort analysis. A month-long program inside a military health facility confirmed that this was the work he wanted to do. After active duty, Paul returned to Rochester and joined McConville, Considine, Cooman and Morin, PC, where he led the personal injury department for years and later served as managing partner. He continued in the Army Reserves until retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2013. In 2019, Paul joined Paramount Settlement Planning to advise attorneys on structured settlements, lien resolution, and complex settlement planning. In 2020, he returned to hands-on representation as a sole practitioner, intentionally limiting his caseload so every client at the Law Office of Paul G. Barden, PLLC works directly with him.

I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional legal representation I received from Mr. Barden in my recent case with the nursing board. From our very first consultation, it was clear that I was in capable hands. He took the time to thoroughly understand my situation, listened to my concerns, and provided me with clear, honest guidance throughout the entire process. Great communication with me, ensuring I was informed at every step and felt supported. Thanks a lot for your dedication and hard work resulting in a favorable outcome.
Paul quickly responded to my request for assistance and immediately took the necessary steps to help me overcome an interstate licensing obstacle.
Mr. Barden was very knowledgeable regarding the issue and circumstances I was in. He thoroughly and effectively explained what I could expect from the process ahead of me. He was responsive and prompt regarding our correspondence. He was also very understanding and workable regarding the typical cost of obtaining legal representation. It was one of the toughest periods of my life, but I am incredibly grateful to have had Mr. Barden for consultation and support.
When it became apparent that I should look for a lawyer, I was fortunate to find Paul. During my initial consultation, he answered all of my questions before I even asked them. His knowledge put me at ease and gave me hope. He told me potential outcomes and what he could and could not do. He worked hard to represent my side of the situation and negotiated a reasonable outcome that I never would have accomplished alone. I am forever grateful.
Needed help settling some insurance companies. Paul came to the rescue with his excellent legal skills. Paul is very friendly, helpful, and incredibly diligent and knowledgable.
Paul was attentive to matter on either took my call or retuned it promptly. He was an excellent source of knowledge and resource. If I could I’d give him 10 stars.
Highly recommend!! No sugarcoating or going around in circles, straight to it and not afraid to shake trees😉
After dealing with different lawyers in attempting to resolve my particular situations. I was for sure feeling downtrodden. Then I found Paul. He renewed my faith in the profession and gave me hope with the best personal outcome. He is gentle and kind when he can be. But will be fierce in your defence when required. Done with precision and tact. He brings this profession honor. You will be in excellent hands.
We met Paul in October 2020 after my husband was t-boned on his motorcycle. He came highly recommended and from the moment we met Paul we knew we had made the right decision. Paul’s dedication, professionalism and knowledge of law was evident from the beginning. Paul tapped into his vast knowledge of law to help cut costs for medical records, kept us educated on the process each step of the way and answered every question openly and honestly, no matter how awkward the question was to ask. We cannot thank Paul enough for his dedication to settle our case while keeping our best interest at heart the entire time. Right from the onset of the process Paul assured us if he felt we were not being offered a fair settlement, we would file suit to get us what we deserved for my husbands’ injuries and economic loss. Paul proved this to be true. His perseverance paid off and we were offered the full demand.
