The amount of fees they took out of veteran's pain and suffering from the 3M settlement should be criminal. They were capped by a judge and they find a way to scrape every cent they can off of your misfortune.. case costs, professional fees, etc, turn an average 33% "lawyers cut" into nearly 50%, downright criminal, but of course they don't care about this review because this case made them filthy rich.
I signed a contract and semt it back to them reguarding a Davinci procedure...that was in 2015....its 2021 and i havent heard back from them at all....i understand i have a different number, but my email has not changed...they forgot about me!!!!!

I'm not too sure about this place. My mom has a tvm case with them that has been in the "pending" stage for what feels like forever. Everytime she calls them they blow her off give her no answers & tell her it's still pending. One lady had the nerve to tell her "she'd be well off before the holidays". Well hello Christmas, you're here already & my mom has yet to get any solid info about her case let alone a settlement. I literally find out more info for here searching through the case dockets than they've ever provided. I just really would like this to end so my mom can actually AFFORD to have the next surgery from this tvm complication. I wouldn't recommend this law firm. They just give the case to someone else & leave you in the dark for years.
I called in response to an ad on TV. The ad is deceptive. Also, the "intake" worker was abrupt and rude. No, I am not bitter but when you have a rude staff you have a rude staff.

Worst experience in my life. These people are so dishonest. They will take your case and settle without your consent. They made a deal with the defense attorneys and made a settlement agreement that leaves no true option to opt out. Do not fall into their trap. If they tell you it’s a MDL case and you have the right to settle or not. It’s bull! They negotiated a settlement which requires them to drop all clients who does not settle and not take on new clients. The judge is involved also. The judge made requirements for court that the attorney should be responsible for, instead required all opt out plaintiffs 30 days to work up the case by themselves. So much fraud and deceit from the whole scam! If you find yourself in this mess. Seek recourse!!
They have to be the worst people in the country. Over a 4 year span I never spoke to one lawyer. And when it came to an important deadline for my settlement they did not do as they would instructed they would do and I lost about $85,000. I ended up with a whopping total of $4,300 after all the fees and no one had an answer about who dropped the ball. The bad thing is I hired another attonery to represent me. I guess i was deflected to Aylstock Witkin Kreis & Overholtz P L C. They have great value for money. Its just not your money they value.
My son contacted on my behalf in 2014 after I became paralysed from taking a drug called Xarelto. This law firm constantly asked me to send medical records, etc with priority mail. They never informed me about the trial or what was happening. In 2022 I was contacted and they said they came to a settlement. However I was also informed that I was responsible for repaying Medicare and the Military Tricare for life with my winnings. I was left with very little money not even enough to pay for my caregiver which exceeds $30,000 for the year. This law firm got the majority of my reward and I fully believe that I was ripped off. I am 86 years old and have nothing positive to say about this law firm and the attorneys.
This office continues to give me and other people in the same situation as me the run around. I signed up for a class action suit. My settlement was paid, they are I guess hanging onto the money for 60-90 more days for what… I’m not sure. Disgusting! Three combat tours. 12 years of honorable service to continue being messed around. Disgusting. I wish I could leave lower than one star.
My husband has been waiting for his 3m settlement for a long time now. While most have been paid, they have yet to pay my husband. They are near impossible to get ahold of and have been making tons of excuses and delays as to why he has yet to be paid. After doing more research on various reviews as well as a Reddit forum about this law firm, I am very disappointed and angry that many other veterans represented by this Law Firm has yet to be paid as well. Our veterans have endured so much fighting for this country. Many have been suffering from both psychological and physical damage. What is shocking is that 98% of settlement money has been paid as of July 12, 2024 while many of the veterans represented by this Aylstock, Witkin, Kreis & Overholtz, PLLC have not received their money.
Martindale-Hubbell® Client Review Ratings™ display reviews submitted by individuals who have either hired or consulted the lawyers or law firms.
The Client Review Rating score is determined through the aggregation of validated responses. People who submit reviews are either individuals who consulted with the lawyer/law firm or who hired the lawyer/law firm and want to share their experience of that lawyer or law firm with other potential clients. Reviewers can be anyone who consults or hires a lawyer including in-house counsel, corporate executives, small business owners, and private individuals.
Martindale-Hubbell validates that a reviewer is a person with a valid email address. As part of the review process, respondents must affirm that they have had an initial consultation, are currently a client or have been a client of the lawyer or law firm identified, although Martindale-Hubbell cannot confirm the lawyer/client relationship as it is often confidential. The content of the responses is entirely from reviewers.

Martindale Peer Reviews
Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are the gold standard in attorney ratings, and have been for more than a century. These ratings indicate attorneys who are widely respected by their peers for their ethical standards and legal expertise in a specific area of practice.
The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

Attorneys that receive reviews from their peers, but not a sufficient number to establish a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating, will have those reviews display on our websites.
Ratings and reviews are feedback from people who have either consulted an attorney about an issue (but may not have hired the attorney) or people who hired an attorney as a current or former client and provided their feedback to our sister site, Avvo.com.
