The Law Offices of John W. Lee, P.C. got this award in 2021
Unprofessional left me without representation 2 days before trial. Not even enough time to get a refund to get another lawyer. The situation was thoroughly explained and they chose to go on vacation rather then honor the agreement.
I retained Raphael Connor at the Law Offices of John W. Lee PC for help with my divorce process. 1. Mr Connor didn't reschedule a pendente lite hearing when I asked him to after I came down with severe kidney stones and was on narcotics. Instead, he went to the hearing and got conditions that were disadvantageous to me. 2. Mr. Connor didn't tell me of hearings and I had to find them out from my wife. 3. Mr. Connor didn't follow clear directions to file show causes when my wife breached the pendente lite order. Emboldening her actions and harming my interest in our joint business. 4. Mr. Connor didn't make requests for admissions, interrogatories, and discovery until after the failure of judicial settlement. 5. Mr. Connor tried to scare me into signing a settlement that was not in my favor. His firm didn't fix the problems he caused, either.
These people made several mistakes on my paperwork that I found and corrected. Those mistakes cost me more time and papers to file. The attorney makes promises until they get paid, then they ignore you and leave you with a paralegal. I am getting more help through the clerks office in town than this attorneys office I paid for. Do NOT waste your money with this firm.
Raphael Connor at John Lee P.C. is incompetent. I received custody of my Son in Aug 2019. Here it is December 29, 2020 and I still pay the Mother over $1400 in monthly support because Mr. Connor has not represented me correctly. Mr. Connor told me that I didn't have to be present for my child support reduction hearing in September 2020, in which I was the petitioner. Needless to say, the judge dismissed my case, causing me to continue to overpay the Mother. I have been overpaying the Mother for 16 months and counting. The child support appeal hearing was (2) months ago, yet DCSE still has not received the court order because Mr. Connor has not made sure that the other attorney has signed the order. I have been calling, emailing, leaving messages on his voicemail, even texting his personal cellphone, trying to explain to him that I am in danger of losing my home and being homeless. Mr. Connor refuses to contact me. I fired Raphael Connor.
I wanted to give this firm 5 stars however, as time has gone by Mr. Connor has not went over what his preperation would be for my case. when I email him about my case he short with me and most times unresponsive. this lawyer was paid in full way before going into a court room. You are supposed to trust that your attorney has your best intrest and your children's best interest in mind which I cannot see. I am not satisfied with the services and wish I would have hired a better prepared Lawyer for my case. he is good for blowing smoke to get hired for matter. DO NOT HIRE him for family law matters. If the saying is true you get what you pay for I don't see it.
Martindale-Hubbell® Client Review Ratings™ display reviews submitted by individuals who have either hired or consulted the lawyers or law firms.
The Client Review Rating score is determined through the aggregation of validated responses. People who submit reviews are either individuals who consulted with the lawyer/law firm or who hired the lawyer/law firm and want to share their experience of that lawyer or law firm with other potential clients. Reviewers can be anyone who consults or hires a lawyer including in-house counsel, corporate executives, small business owners, and private individuals.
Martindale-Hubbell validates that a reviewer is a person with a valid email address. As part of the review process, respondents must affirm that they have had an initial consultation, are currently a client or have been a client of the lawyer or law firm identified, although Martindale-Hubbell cannot confirm the lawyer/client relationship as it is often confidential. The content of the responses is entirely from reviewers.
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome and Martindale-Hubbell accepts no responsibility for the content or accuracy of any review. For more information on Martindale-Hubbell Client Review Ratings, please visit our Client Review Page
Martindale Peer Reviews
Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are the gold standard in attorney ratings, and have been for more than a century. These ratings indicate attorneys who are widely respected by their peers for their ethical standards and legal expertise in a specific area of practice.
The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
