Welcome. My name is Eric D. Puryear, and I am an Attorney at Law who is licensed in the states of Illinois and Iowa.

My philosophy

I founded Puryear Law. P.C. to provide clients with professional, prompt, and diligent legal services. I firmly believe that the role of an attorney is to help his clients with the many legal issues that each of us faces in the modern world, and to do so in a way that builds trust and confidence. Towards that end, I pride myself on taking as much time as is needed to meet with my clients - face to face. Along the same lines, I ensure that phone calls and emails to my office are promptly returned, and that clients are not left waiting for the legal services that I know they need. In sum, I don't consider my job done until my client's needs have been fully met.

As a person with extensive computer and technology experience (including a degree in Computer Science), I know that using the right technology is essential in today's world. That is why I make use of the latest technology in my law practice. I have found that making maximum use of secure, encrypted computer and communication technology has enabled me to reduce costs and improve the quality of my legal services. The net result is lower legal fees for my clients, better service for my clients, and fewer environmental resources consumed by needless printing/copying.

A worthless lawyer who only cares for money! He will do absolutely nothing at all for you all while taking thousands of your dollars! A liar, a cheat, a despicable human being! I'm sure his family is just as crappy as this SOB

This guy is all about the money. Bills for everything under the sun. Can't make an appointment to meet with your attorney until all bills are paid whether they are due or not. Then if you write a review about this firm you will be threatened with a law suit. If this firm has threatened you with a law suit please contact me about possibly a class action law suit against this firm. I think with a few people pitching in we could afford to bring action against this firm. Dirk Fishback on FB.

Mr. Puryear has the compassion and personality of mud. Is more concerned he gets his escrow account "filled" than communicating or being proactive with the client. Office staff is snobby and rude. All communication is done via his web portal. If you do not have immediate access to your email or printing you are out of luck. Charges for copies of your documents. A very sterile uncompassionate interaction experience. I would NOT recommend him... there are others who can do the job for less

Not very good representation don't believe any hype this guys just wants your money only had 1 in person meeting, I'm doing more work on my own case, documents that are being made aren't solid leaving lots of loop holes. And every time I turn around I'm getting another bill that's over the top and for the smallest of things that most wouldn't even consider billable. if you could give less than one star or negative that would be what this law firm deserves

charged my daughter $13,000 for 5 months to represent her in a divorce that my daughter had to do much of the paperwork. He notice she had $10,000 in her savings that took her 24 years to save. once he had taken that he informed her he would not sign off the case so she could get her child support until she gave him another $3500. This man is another reason lawyer have a bad reputation.
