A cut above the rest! I was referred to Hershel Chapin a couple years ago as a potential attorney to assist my company in a lawsuit being filed against a company we previously did business with. Our business is not located in Texas, but the company we were suing was previously located in Texas. We needed an effective attorney that could assist us remotely in a complicated and drawn out bankruptcy case. Hershel exceeded our expectations and helped us remedy an outstanding issue which would in turn allow us to move forward on our new lawsuit. Hershel did an outstanding job learning about the bankruptcy case we were previously involved in, identifying applicable law, and creating the legal action we needed to help us resolve a bankruptcy issue that was critical to our new lawsuit. Hershel is honest, ethical, methodical, professional, and has an extensive knowledge of Texas bankruptcy and business law. For months, I searched for a Consumer Law Attorney who could assist with filing a lawsuit against a company who wouldn’t honor a product warranty. During my consult with Herschel, I knew I was going to hire him. He was VERY knowledgeable of the laws, Herschel answered every question I had, never once made me feel that my questions were dumb or invalid. He accepted the challenge of my case. Herschel kept me informed throughout and kept me updated of the budget outlay. Less than a year later, my case is closed and I’m VERY HAPPY with the outcome! I retained Hershel to aid me in exploring my options on a bankruptcy case. Hershel took the time to speak with me at length regarding my current situation, both personal and financial, and he invested the time to understand what life circumstances had brought me to reach out to him for his assistance. I highly recommend Hershel for business legal matters. He has been a great communicator and easily guided me through the entire lawsuit process. Hershel is very personable and easy to talk to but when it was time to apply pressure to the other side he stepped up and successfully pressed the law into service for my case. I had been dealing with a debt recovery issue for several years with another company and Hershel, within a few months, was able to effectively negotiate a settlement and resolve my issue. I first found his profile on Avvo and saw that he had a lot of positive reviews. I contacted him and I felt that he was professional and empathetic. He let me share my full story and asked questions that gave me a lot of comfort in going forward. My case could have gone on for several years but he resolved it in 2 months. There were many times where I was unsure about the decisions we were making. He welcomed these questions and carefully addressed each concern, even with examples of his past experiences. He approached me as a friend to make the best decision while letting me know that he will support me whichever decision I will make.
