I was referred to Berry Law by an old Gulf War shipmate that had recently had a successful and satisfying experience with his own case. I am so glad I took his advice! Corrina Bartles is absolutely wonderful and fought for an increase in my disability rating from 60% to 100%! I am so thankful and grateful to Corrina because this will make my life so much easier financially. Thank you!
Steve Downey from Berry Law makes you feel like he is your battle buddy in the trenches of the legal system. From the very first meeting, I knew I had made the right choice in hiring him to represent me in my Veterans Affairs case. His unwavering dedication, profound knowledge, and genuine compassion for veterans are qualities that set him apart as an exceptional lawyer. He navigated the complex VA system with precision, ensuring every detail was addressed. I couldn't have asked for a better advocate. Steve is not just a lawyer, he's a true ally who goes above and beyond for his clients. I am immensely grateful for his guidance and the positive result he achieved. If you need a lawyer for your VA case, Steve is the one you want in your corner.
The lawyer and his assistant where the nicest and reliable sources when I had any questions about my case. I am really thankful for all that your law group has done for me and my family. I would gladly give anyone that is needing help with there VA Clams.

Jason Gibson and staff are hands down the most amazing, caring and hardworking team of people I've ever encountered. I've been battling a losing fight with the VA for over 20 years, in 3 months Mr. Gibson got me the medical attention I needed, and my rating boosted. Thank you, Mr. Gibson and Berry Law.

David Ossianl has been very helpful with my case and is very determined to win my case dealing with the Veteran Affairs. I want to send my gratitude and thanks for your teams help. The wind are not over yet and I am expect Mr. Ossianl will not stop until he wins every part of my case. The team is very knowledgeable and experienced with the law. Thank you David and Berry law team.
The firm itself is amazing and very resourceful and helpful BUT i wanted to specifically mention Steve Downey at the firm because he was the one handling my case. I was getting the typical jerk around reaction from the VA Comp and Pen and I was not getting the benefits i knew i was entitled to. I reached out because a friend referred me and I am pleased to say I do not regret it. The VA kept us on the ropes for a long time but Steve never stopped fighting for me and my compensation. I had days where I was panicking and spiraling but Steve remained calm and promised me he was going to get me the rating i am entitled to, and he delivered on that promise like no other. I cannot stress how hard he fought for my case and got me a satisfactory outcome. I will be sure to mention the firm and Steve for any of my buddies that need their stuff squared away. Steve you are the man. I truly appreciate you from the bottom of my heart.
Dear Seth Chambers and Missy, I hope this note finds you in good health and high spirits. I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the exceptional support, dedication, and expertise you provided in helping me achieve resolution in my veteran's disability claim. Seth, your legal prowess and tireless efforts were pivotal in navigating the complexities of my case. Your commitment to seeking justice on my behalf was evident in every step of the process. Your knowledge and experience truly made a difference, and I am incredibly grateful for the positive outcome that your hard work secured. Missy, your unwavering support and attention to detail were invaluable throughout this journey. Your responsiveness, organizational skills, and genuine care for my case made a significant impact on my experience. Knowing that I had you as a point of contact gave me a sense of reassurance and confidence. Thank you Berry Law Firm
David Ossian, and his assistant Tuesday, were pivotal in my disability claims with the VA. I had tried numerous times, even with the help of other "free' VSOs, to increase my disability rating through the VA. Each time it was rejected. Once David and his staff were involved, the VA approved my claims. Weird huh? If you are not getting anywhere with the VA, give Mr. Ossian a call! You will not be disappointed.
Stephanie and her team at Berry Law were relentless in helping me win my claims with the Veterans Administration. It took three (3) years but they were undeterred by the process. Highly recommend them to represent any veteran. Thank you!

Hired Law Firm
After spending 2 arduous years attempting to navigate the complex and often frustrating VA system, I found myself battling the overwhelming tide of bureaucracy and red tape. My interactions with the VA felt akin to entering a gunfight armed only with a knife. The web is flooded with firms making lofty promises, yet offering no concrete evidence of their successes. Berry Law Firm stood out as a beacon. Their pay structure - earning only if I did - spoke volumes about their confidence and commitment to their clients. I collaborated with the Berry Law team, especially Matthew Bartling, Matt's work on my behalf was a revelation. His arguments were not only professional and well-researched but highlighted perspectives I hadn't considered. When faced with a flawed PTSD C&P exam, many resigned me to the fate of having to accept it. Matt, however, turned the tables, securing a new exam and consequently the approval of my claim.
Martindale-Hubbell® Client Review Ratings™ display reviews submitted by individuals who have either hired or consulted the lawyers or law firms.
The Client Review Rating score is determined through the aggregation of validated responses. People who submit reviews are either individuals who consulted with the lawyer/law firm or who hired the lawyer/law firm and want to share their experience of that lawyer or law firm with other potential clients. Reviewers can be anyone who consults or hires a lawyer including in-house counsel, corporate executives, small business owners, and private individuals.
Martindale-Hubbell validates that a reviewer is a person with a valid email address. As part of the review process, respondents must affirm that they have had an initial consultation, are currently a client or have been a client of the lawyer or law firm identified, although Martindale-Hubbell cannot confirm the lawyer/client relationship as it is often confidential. The content of the responses is entirely from reviewers.
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome and Martindale-Hubbell accepts no responsibility for the content or accuracy of any review. For more information on Martindale-Hubbell Client Review Ratings, please visit our Client Review Page
Martindale Peer Reviews
Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ are the gold standard in attorney ratings, and have been for more than a century. These ratings indicate attorneys who are widely respected by their peers for their ethical standards and legal expertise in a specific area of practice.
The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*
• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
• Notable: This rating indicates that the lawyer has been recognized by a large number of their peers for strong ethical standards.
Lawyers who have received peer reviews after 2009 will display more detailed information, including practice areas, summary ratings, detailed numeric ratings and written feedback (if available). Details for individual reviews received before 2009 are not displayed.
Attorneys that receive reviews from their peers, but not a sufficient number to establish a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating, will have those reviews display on our websites.
Ratings and reviews are feedback from people who have either consulted an attorney about an issue (but may not have hired the attorney) or people who hired an attorney as a current or former client and provided their feedback to our sister site, Avvo.com.
