Godbey Law is a law firm established in 1989 with an office in Cincinnati, OH. At this office location, there are 3 lawyers practicing family law, divorce, dissolution and 30 other areas of law.
The law firm knew the new laws about bankruptcy. Really, the only problem we had with the law firm was their response in answering our questions. It seemed like they were trying to avoid us. The lawyer was short with us at times; we had the feeling that we were being a bother to them.
The attorney was nice enough to see me without an appointment despite having set one up that was lost. He was very impatient, rude and gave me no other information than I was screwed and need an attorney and he would not talk with me further.{para}His attitude was that of the rich looking down at the poor and even had the nerve to address me as if I was of little financial worth. When I left I felt worse about the situation than I had before.
WORST LAW FIRM! The lawyer I got was for my divorce/custody case. She was awful! She was late to hearings, forgot evidence at the office, forgot to document things agreed to in mediation onto paperwork which ended up making me have to pay my ex abuser 3,500. 😭 She knowledge it was all her fault and told me she felt bad and would have it taken off the fees I owed her. Oh that was before she up and left the practice in the middle of my case without even telling me. They gave me another lawyer in there firm but she knew nothing about my case she gave me bad advice which ended me getting a contempt charge more money I didn’t have. I’m a mom with 2 kids trying to get out of a abusive marriage. I ended up finishing my case myself because the firm already charged me 10,798 which doesn’t include the 3,000 I paid to represent me and the 3,500 the lawyer said she would have taken off never happened the Law Firm says they have no way to verify. All this money I’m charged and for what?
Mr Godbey represented us in a car accident case. At the beginning of the case we agreed upon a certain percentage for him to handle the case. After two years, he settled my case without my knowledge. Then when I received my check, he took a extra six thousand dollars!
