Jennifer communicates mainly by email, so it is important for you to plan your communications with her. My advice is to always send them early in the day and on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday when she is not in court. Jennifer was a poor communicator. By that I mean she talked in legal terms and not what a client may understand. So, unnecessary communication resulted between us. She expects you to detail your responses but on several occasions I had to pull information out of her. As her client, I expected to pay for ‘legal advice’ but frequently felt I was dealing with a cut-and-paste legal clerk. Just before a very crucial status meeting she quit and asked the court to withdraw as my attorney. My recommendation would be to look somewhere else if you need a good lawyer. I never received the empathy I needed from her which I believe a good lawyer should provide. And, if you check the few reviews on her, there is a history of withdrawing or threatening withdrawal.
Jennifer is just a paper pusher. She will not fight for you, especially if you are male. This comes out if you disagree with her on anything. In my case, I lost extra money because she couldn't properly perform cutoffs on bank statements. When I questioned her, she quickly placed the blame on me. This is why you would be better off representing yourself as the high earner. She will just do whatever opposing counsel says unless you manage the case.
Jennifer is the primary example of greedy lawyer. After we explained our situation and as the case got more complicated instead of trying to work with us in any way she demanded all her fees and money upfront and even demanded another retainer fee. We had explained to her that during this issue coming up we were impacted by COVID. That didnt matter to her. We attempted to do a payment plan with her after we secured new council and told her that since we had to pay new council we couldnt afford much but would give all that we could for her bill until it was paid. She responded wanting all of her money in full right away. She responded immediately about money to her but would take days or longer to respond about anything going on with the case. It is clear that her and her firm only want clients that can pay thousands of dollars a month for little to no work being done. I would suggest you find a different lawyer that actually cares about you and your case rather than your money.
I'd give this place a 0 stars if I could, but Google won't let me. Her fee for her divorce legal services are overpriced for the sub-mediocre quality of work and lack of any due diligence. Despite some fanfare from only 2 colleagues and the fake positive reviews she paid people to do, I wondered if her subpar, poor performance was part of the entire legal strategy, or in fact, she was just performing poorly. She doesn't perform poorly when it comes to getting paid. She only cares about getting paid, maximizing her own personal profits, and working with the opposing lawyer both of them to get paid. In court, she completely nosedived in front of the judge, the other lawyer, and seemed like she cared more about protecting herself than me the client and keeping dibs on what favors she owes the other lawyer and the judge to make sure they all profit when the day is done. That court experience taught me she's a questionable lawyer and I question her integrity.
