George Lambeth Metcalfe has been practicing law since 1988 and is a partner at George Lambeth Metcalfe, P.A. He began his solo practice in Coral Gables as a general civil and appellate firm, later concentrating on marital and family law, including tax-related issues that arise in dissolution matters. His work spans numerous Florida jurisdictions, including Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward, Palm Beach, Lake, Sumter, Volusia, Marion, Indian River, and St. Lucie Counties. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior District XI Counsel for Foster Care with Florida HRS, worked as an associate and law clerk at Peters, Pickle, Niemoeller, Robertson, Lax and Parsons, and clerked in the Appellate Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida. He is active in bar associations and legal organizations statewide and has been recognized for pro bono service, strong ethics, and client care, including a 2021 Pro Bono Publico Service Award and top ratings from Martindale-Hubbell and peers.
