Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.Working with Neil was a truly positive experience. He’s not only deeply knowledgeable about the law, but also incredibly thoughtful and proactive. He didn’t waste time, he handled everything with professionalism and care, always keeping me informed and at ease. What stood out most was how much he genuinely cared about my case and well-being. Neil is the kind of attorney who earns your trust from day one and never lets you down.
A few years ago, a contracted and licensed plumbing company I had hired negligently attempted to replace a lateral sewage line to my house. Multiple errors led to OSHA shutting down the work for nearly a month. When the plumbing company finally “fixed” the line, they failed to backfill the ground properly causing repetitive sinking of the ground. To make matters worse, they attempted to use concrete slurry to stop the sinking which caused the replaced line to get damaged. The plumbing company refused to fix the issue claiming I was past my warrant. Neil took my case after I had explained the situation and the undue burden of cost from the negligent work. He unrelentingly pursued the plumbing company to help recuperate those costs but to no avail. The plumbing company decided a trial option was not the best course of action for them and decided to settle out of court. Neil is a five-star attorney! His perseverance and attention to detail helped win a difficult case.
Hired Neil for my divorce and it was completed in a timely manner. He took the time to explain in great detail of the process and what each step meant along with the expected timeline. Not only did my divorce go smoothly but I ended up paying no child support nor any alimony. Neil has been my go-to for legal advice ever since.
Neil is a fantastic lawyer to have by your side. Throughout my dui case, he was very patient, hardworking, determined, and compassionate. He promptly addressed all my questions and concerns and definitely provided reassurance when I needed it most. He also offered me a fair price for the work he put into my case. I couldn’t have asked for a more responsive, caring, and dedicated lawyer. I feel very grateful that I had him in my corner while we navigated my case. I would highly recommend Neil as a lawyer and will never forget the compassion he shared with me. He fought for me and helped me get through a very difficult period in my life.
Neil was a God send. Literally saved my husband and I from an eviction. He was so responsive and on it. Worked with us every step of the way. So thankful for having him. He's so personable and friendly which makes everything easier. He always explains everything thoroughly so you understand what is happening as it comes up. Thank you so much Neil!
My apartment manager called me last week and said they filed an eviction and I had to either pay or get out. I was distraught and scared and did not know what to do. I called Mr. Lopez and explained the situation to him and he advised me what my apartment manager was doing was illegal and assured me I would be fine. My rent is behind due to covid 19 so my situation would fall under the Covid19 moratorium law, Mr. Lopez told me what to do and what to say to my landlord , and I did and my landlord called and changed there tune. Mr. Lopez was very honest and caring, he could of not helped me until I retained him but he told me that I didn’t need to retain him just yet because he felt they were just trying to scare me. Most attorneys won’t even talk to you without a fee, but Mr. Lopez answered everytime I called, he followed up with me to see if everything was ok, if I ever need an attorney in the future I’ll definitely call Mr. Lopez.
I picked up a battery case in the summer of 2019 and needed to hire an attorney because “I” was the victim in this case. I have worked for attorneys my whole life and I knew it was going to be difficult to find someone with enough heart and fight in them to see the truth behind this case and have my back 100%. My wife and I searched and searched for days and hours and finally came across Neil Opdahl. Everything we read about this man online was exactly who we wanted on our side; and did this man come through for me. We fought this case tooth and nail for a year and a half. Ultimately, he cornered the DA into a PC1385 and convinced them I was innocent via a mitigation packet. This was a trial readiness case that got dismissed which is unusual. This man took this case on with heart and fight and never gave up on me. I recommend this man to ANYONE fighting for their freedom.
Do not hire as a Divorce Attorney. He presents himself as an intelligent individual with his sales pitch of why you should hire him, but his skills and abilities in the courtroom demonstrate a lack of knowledge and a lack of skill. He has placed all his effort in developing his skills (sales pitch) to manipulate you as the client/customer into hiring him, but has not developed the skills and abilities necessary to accomplish the task that you hired him to perform. My experience with him in my divorce case was that he filed court documents untimely. He made appointments to go over your case and always had to reschedule because of random emergency. The purpose of this was so that he did not have to prepare you. In the courtroom, he was spaced out and not following along with the preceding. He was not organized. He had to print exhibits in the halls of the court room. I had to fire him and retain new counsel. Refused to return unearned portion of retainer. Too much at stack. Don’t hire
