If I hired a moving company to move my stuff and they broke my expensive lawn mower, can I sue them?

Answered by attorney Michael William Hecht (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Hecht & Hecht, LLP
Yes you can sue them. When you entrust your property to a moving company they are responsible for it. However, many times the moving contract will limit the amount of damages available based on the weight of the item, not its actual value. You should carefully review your moving contract with a lawyer to determine what your rights are in this case.

What do we do if insurance company will not answer our call?

Answered by attorney Gregory M Janks (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Gregory M. Janks, P.C.
In a Michigan car crash you don't much care about the other car's insurer - at least in the short term; this is because it is YOUR car insurer that pays No Fault Benefits which are wage loss, medical treatment expenses and replacement services. It is also YOUR insurer that pays for the damage to your car - except that if you must pay a deductible, the other vehicles insurer does pay same up to $1k. It is only after some medical care and treatment that you can determine if you have facts that support proving you/your wife has a serious impairment of a body function, something which your are required to prove before you have a viable claim for pain and suffering vs. the other owner/driver (which is handled and paid by their insurer).

What do I do if this was a no fault accident but I was rear ended?

Answered by attorney Jeffery L. Robinette
Personal Injury lawyer at Robinette Legal Group, PLLC
In West Virginia, the driver who "rear-ends" another car is usually considered to be at fault. If you have the insurance information of the person who hit your car, you need to file a claim with that insurance, not your own.
