Should I get an attorney if I was in an accident caused by illegal motion?

Henry Christopher Coburn
Answered by attorney Henry Christopher Coburn (Unclaimed Profile)

From the way you describe it it sounds to me like the other party is at fault. If you were injured I would see an attorney.

Can I press charges after confirming that my ex gave me a sexually transmitted disease and did not tell me until a year and a half later?

You may wish to contact the district attorney's office to see if this is an offense for which they can bring charges against your ex. You may also have a civil case against him if he intentionally gave you the STD. Good luck to you and your child.

Could I pursue a slip & fall case when rain was involved since the day before fall?

Personal Injury lawyer at Lapin Law Offices
You can always "pursue a slip and fall case." The real question is whether you would be successful in your case. Assuming the owner of the campground knew that the porches would get slippery when it rained and should have either warned people about this or placed mats on the porches, there is still a question whether you "assumed the risk" of walking on the porch or whether you were contributorily at-fault for your fall. You indicate that the it was raining "off and on" when you first arrived. Did you notice that the porch was slippery due to the rain? Were you walking slowly? Did you take extra precaution when you were walking before you fell? In Nebraska, you must be less than 50% at fault for your fall for you to recover any money for your fall, injuries and damages. While you do provide some information about your fall, it is not enough for me to comment on the fault of the campground owner or your own possible fault. You should talk to a personal injury attorney about your slip and fall. Most offer a free consultation so it will not cost you anything to learn more about your rights and whether you have a case that you could win.
