Can I sue a restaurant for possible food poisoning?

David B. Rechtman
Answered by attorney David B. Rechtman (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Rechtman & Spevak
Food poisoning is a very difficult case. The insurance company will likely deny the claim without representation. It would only interest a lawyer if you have a large amount (several thousand dollars worth) of related medical bills.

How much money can I get for a work injury?

Answered by attorney David W. Hibbert (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Law Offices of David W. Hibbert
On the job injuries are most often claims under workers compensation laws and not the same as "lawsuits" for negligence. However , all the facts need to be reviewed to determine what causes of the injury were and whether other parties , not your employer, were negligent in some manner precipitating your injury. Worker's Compensation does not rest upon anyone's negligence, merely the fact of an on the job injury should entitle you to certain benefits.

What is the fair amount for pain and suffering?

Paul L. Whitfield
Answered by attorney Paul L. Whitfield (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Paul Whitfield and Associates P.A.
Depends on a lot of things. You say you were traveling at 45 mph at an intersection. What was the speed limit? If the speed limit was 45 then maybe you should have been traveling a little slower and being a little more careful (that may be the insurance position) if the other driver says you were driving too fast you could lose the case entirely. In NC you must be totally free of any degree of fault to get anything. Next question: what is the insurance coverage? Do you know? How could you possibly demand a figure if you don't know the coverage? Does the other driver have any assets beyond the insurance? In other words can he afford to lose the case to you big time? if he doesn't have anything to speak of it is urgent you find out coverage. Did you ask?sounds like you have a lot of big time injuries. The sky is the limit. If you had a proper PI lawyer you might be asking about degree of permanency, future medical expenses, future care of all sorts. Get you a good lawyer to review all this with you. I can assure you that you are not able to do this yourself. I cant imagine why you would try except to avoid attorney fees which may cost you the whole ballgame. Get you some proper professional help.
