What are my options if I have been hurt at work for the second time?

Paul L. Whitfield
Answered by attorney Paul L. Whitfield (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Paul Whitfield and Associates P.A.
A comp settlement is always based on medical opinion, not your opinion. Talk to your doctor and see what he is willing to say. That is all you have.

What can I do if the other party involved in an auto accident is broke?

Answered by attorney David W. Craig
Personal Injury lawyer at Craig, Kelley and Faultless LLC
If you have uninsured motorist coverage then you should make a claim against your insurance company. That company will pay you what the other driver owes you and then it can try to collect from that driver. If you have auto insurance then you have to have uninsured motorist coverage unless you waived it in writing.

Am I liable for damages caused by an act of nature?

Answered by attorney David M. Van Sant
Personal Injury lawyer at Van Sant Law, LLC
It depends on whether the canopy was not maintained properly and presented a hazard. The real question will be whether it was foreseeable that this could happen. If so, you may have been negligent in some way.
