Answered by attorney Linda Kaye Frieder (Unclaimed Profile)
Personal Injury lawyer at Law Office of Linda K. Frieder
File a worker's compensation case of they reject you notice of incident. If they did not give you a blank form you can download it from the website. It is a DWC -1 from. They should have sent you to their doctor for treatment.

What can I do if they will not pay for my injury?

Answered by attorney Britany Michelle Engelman
Personal Injury lawyer at Engelman Law, APC
Since you were injured at work, your case presents an issue of workers' compensation not regular personal injury. The good side about workers' compensation is that it is a fault-free system (you can prevail in your case even if the injury at work was caused by your own negligence); the bad part is that workers' compensation is your exclusive remedy (you cannot file a claim for damages outside of the workers' comp arena, absent special circumstances). Did you report the injury to your boss prior to leaving the premises for the day and seeking medical treatment? Most workplace injuries require that you both report the injury as soon as it occurs, and seek treatment with a medical provider approved and pre-contracted with through your employer's workers' compensation insurance. Your boss should not be able to get away with making you work while injured, provided you followed the proper protocols of reporting the injury, having the injury documented, and seeking treatment with the workers' compensation doctor. You would be wise to consult with an attorney to see if there are other particular angles to your case which may make it subject to a different legal analysis.

Can i sue a bar for being unsafe?

Answered by attorney Stephen Arnold Black
Personal Injury lawyer at The Law Office of Stephen A. Black
Absolutely. If it was forseeable that attacks of this nature could happen, and the bar did not take steps to eliminate that risk,( by not hiring bouncers, or security guards,) then you would have a case. Discuss with counsel.
