I am an attorney located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. I have my B.A. in Classics from the New College of Florida, and my J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. I have a varied legal background, including stints at the ICTY in the Netherlands with the Office of the Prosecutor and with the State of Tennessee. I have over a decade of litigation experience and it is hard to surprise me at this point! I enjoy family and employment law and feel lucky that I have managed to find a career where I feel like I am making a difference by enforcing the rights of employees, parents, and protecting children. My favorite family area is divorce, since you get to use your creativity to fashion agreements to help ensure the most equitable and beneficial contracts to protect your client at a time when they are most at risk of making a bad emotional decision for themselves. My favorite employment area is wage and hour (FLSA) because one of the most fundamental rights of an employee is to be paid for the work they have done to enrich the employer. If I had to describe my legal style in three words it would be creative, diligent, and stubborn. On a personal note, I love sports and I am a big University of Louisville (still crying), Vanderbilt (always crying), Titans (usually crying), and Nashville Predators fan (too happy and it makes me nervous).
