Do I have to have a job to fix my parents' papers?

Answered by attorney Lana Vladimirovna Kurilova Rich (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Lana Kurilova Rich PLLC
I assume you are a US citizen and want to sponsor the green cards for your parents. In order to do that, you have to be 21 years old and you either have to have sufficient income to sponsor your parents, or you must have a joint sponsor who has sufficient income and who is also a US citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder). It can be a friend or a relative, does not matter - someone with sufficient income who will agree to be a sponsor.

Will having an overstayed visa prevent my husband from getting his green card?

Answered by attorney Lynne Rogers Feldman
Immigration lawyer at Feldman Feldman Associates, PC
An overstay would not be a problem. We would need to see the certified court documents from his car theft to see if a waiver will be required and analyze the merits of this with you both.

Can I still fix my immigration status if I have a domestic violence charge?

Answered by attorney Alena Shautsova
Immigration lawyer at Law Offices of Alena Shautsova
Consult with an attorney. A domestic violence offense makes one deportable, but it is still possible to get a green card.
