What name shows up when I'm fingerprinted now if I was adopted at age 16 and had my name changed with adoption?

If you have a court order changing your name, you would need to take that court order to Social Security to get your name changed with them. You also would need to contact the USCIS to inform them of the name change and get your documents re-issued in your new name. Just because the court granted your name change does not mean that all agencies in the country are automatically notified of this change, unfortunately.

You need to hire an attorney now. I suggest calling one of us BEFORE anything happens that may prove detrimental. This should not be taken lightly. Many , like myself, will even do these over the telephone to accommodate clients.
