Will I receive additional jail time for a first offense DUI with 0.032 BAC?

Answered by attorney Francis John Cowhig (Unclaimed Profile)
DUI/DWI lawyer at Francis John Cowhig
A 0.032 BAC is well below the limit for a DUI. Depending on the results of the blood test, you should not have received a DUI. There also may issues as to why you had to take a blood test after taking the breath test. I strongly suggest that you contact an experienced criminal law attorney for a face-to-face consultation and give him/her all of the facts surrounding your arrest. He/she would then be in a better position to analyze your case and advise you of your options.

How do I get my license back after multiple DUI's?

Answered by attorney Laurie A. Schmidt
DUI/DWI lawyer at 5280 Law Group
You can attempt to contact the DMV and request a hearing around the interlock issue, but more than likely in Colorado - the DMV will make you install ignition interlock on any vehicle that you driver prior to re-issuing you a license. It's an administrative action and not in the hands of the courts.

Does a DUI show up on background check for employment?

Answered by attorney Philip Daniel Hache
DUI/DWI lawyer at Law Offices of Phil Hache
Yes, a DUI conviction will show up on a background check for someone searching for misdemeanor or felony convictions. There is some action that you can take for employment purposes though. It is possible to get a DUI conviction dismissed once probation is terminated. It is even possible to terminate probation early in some circumstances. There are some limitations to this, but if successful the conviction gets withdrawn and dismissed, and would not have to be reported to a large portion of employers/potential employers.
