Is it possible to get my license back sooner after I complete alcohol rehabilitation? It is my first DUI and everything like fines and stuff.

Read your sentencing report from court, and any orders from DMV. Whatever terms apply are found there. DMV suspensions can not be shortened, but might be possible to modify to restricted limited status. Court ordered suspensions can be modified only by filing a Motion for good cause.

What can happen if your second DUI was 6 years after the first one?

A. Marie Felsen

It will be a second DUI but since you did not violate probation you can get a restricted license from the DMV after being suspended only 90 days if you show them you are enrolled in SB38 and have SR22 insurance.

When did the 10 year DUI law come in effect?

10 year. It's retroactive. There's a motion that he wouldn't have accepted the terms if he knew it was going to change to ten years. If he got a new DUI in 2014 it's more than ten years and counts as a first.
