How do I remove the condition of the temporary 2 years green card with out my spouse's signature when separated?

Answered by attorney Erin Patricia Farley (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Law Office of Erin Farley
This question is better answered by an immigration attorney, so post it on that forum. Have you consulted with your in-laws about a sponsorship? The only issue is that they would then be responsible for supporting you at 125% of the federal poverty level; even so, it could be worth it to them to keep their grand baby around.

If my husband filed for a dissolution of marriage form FL-100 over a year ago, I have never gone to court, what does this mean?

Ralph L Williams
Answered by attorney Ralph L Williams (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Ralph L. Williams
The FL-100 Form is the Petition requesting Dissolution of Marriage. This must be properly served on you with the Summons (Family Law) Form FL-110. If this is the only form filed, you are probably not divorced. If you did not file a Response, the next notice you should receive is a Request to Enter Default FL165, with Declaration of Service of Preliminary Declaration of Disclosure, Schedule of Assets & Debts, and Income & Expense Declaration, Notice of Entry of Judgment and Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage.

How long must I wait to remarry if my divorce is final?

Answered by attorney Anne Barbara Howard (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Anne B. Howard, A Professional Law Corporation
You can remarry as soon as the Notice of Entry of Judgment is filed with the court. This is a mandatory form and is different to your Judgment and Marital Settlement Agreement. Unless it's done, you are technically still married.
