How can I protect myself through a divorce?

You should at least purges an hour of attorneys time, explain all of the details and factual situations, and understand what your rights and potential obligations are going to be. Whether or not the landlord is going to evict you will most probably be determined by whether or not the rent is paid. The car is in both names the court will have to make decision which one of the parties is going to retain it.

If he makes 55,000 without overtime, but brought home 75,000 in 2012, will it be considered when the judge figures child support and alimony?

By the time this finishes out you'll most certainly need an attorney. As soon as you ask for spousal support and child support he will end up fighting your requests. Therefore you may as well engage an attorney now and petition the court to have him pay for your attorneys fees in order for you to be able to prosecute the matter. This sounds like a very strong spousal support case!

This is a bit complicated for Lawqa generally your wife gets 50% of the marital property including 50% of the equity in the home if it is martial property. But is the house marital property? Depends upon the circumstances .. generally yes
