Minor technicality: you do not press charges, the district attorney presses charges. Otherwise: YES! Copy the Craig's List listings and take them to the police station!

Can I bring my new wife without consequence, and then, after I arrive back home, continue to attempt to locate my estranged mate?

You are not "married" to your new "wife" unless you first got divorced from your first wife. There may be a common law marriage but there's no common law divorce. Leaving you is not the same as divorce you, and you can only have one wife at a time.

You will need to file for divorce and request temporary spousal support and post-divorce spousal maintenance.  If your wife has income then the court may order her to pay you monthly support. If you are disabled,  the court may order your wife to pay support indefinitely.  If you own assets, you are also entitled to a share of the property and debts.
