Would I get money from my husband if I filed for divorce it's been less than a year

David J Hutchinson
Answered by attorney David J Hutchinson (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at David J. Hutchinson
Probably not. You would more or less have to show that you are now less able to earn a living because you were not employed at your husband's request. That would be very difficult in a one year marriage. Sorry. Good Luck.

Do I still have to keep paying cable for a house I no longer live in and I am in the process of a divorce?

You can take all of the utilities out of your name. You should, however, advise your spouse you are doing so to give him/her the opportunity of placing the accounts in his/he name.

Can I sue for legal costs for hiding employment income?

Answered by attorney Anne Barbara Howard (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Anne B. Howard, A Professional Law Corporation
If you can prove that she lied about her income (vs. did not simply tell you), you can argue for legal fees. You need to prove fraud unless she was ordered to actually tell you about her new income.
