What will likely happen next on an attempted check forgery/bank fraud?

Hard to say. The DA has discretion to file or not to file and? they can push for jail, or prison, or straight probation without jail or prison. The fact that there is no loss means you have a chance at a lower punishment. Trying it twice may be a factor on the other side of the issue. You need a lawyer.

What should I do if police want to question me?

The charge you are looking at is "hit and run unattended/property damage". This is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 90 days in jail and a $1,000.00 fine. They are going to be able to pretty much pin you to this accident, especially if there was a witness. The only thing I would advise is not to talk about alcohol consumption (if that is an issue) because they could try and enhance the charges. You should consult with an attorney, especially if your car has been impounded. You are eventually going to have to deal with these people.

How long does the court have to file my DUI arrest in California?

Answered by attorney Terry Alan Nelson (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Nelson & Lawless
Once they do, feel free to contact me if serious about getting legal counsel to help you. Keep in mind: When you are arrested for DUI, whether alcohol or drugs, upon release from jail or booking you were given documents that included a notice that you have only ten days to file a request with DMV for a hearing on an appeal of the automatic one-year suspension of your license imposed by DMV upon arrest for DUI, which is separate and runs consecutively with any suspension that may be imposed by the court. Contact DMV and do so, timely, then appear at your scheduled hearing and present your evidence and testimony. If you don't know how to do these things, then hire an attorney that does. If serious about doing so, feel free to contact me.
