How much jail time can you get for driving on revoked?

Answered by attorney Robert Jason De Groot (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at R. Jason de Groot, P.A.
That depends upon the defendant's record. People actually go to prison in these cases when they have a number of them. Hire an attorney who will either get the best possible deal or take the case to trial if necessary.

What would happen on a Bond jump and felony arson charge?

Answered by attorney Nathaniel D Shafer
Criminal Law lawyer at Natty Shafer Law
Yes, they will issue a bench warrant, which means that any interaction with the police could lead to him being arrested. Even if he is in another state, he could be arrested if a police department has it in their computers that there is an outstanding bench warrant. As for entering his home without permission without a warrant, no the police are not allowed to do that. Unfortunately, your friend jumping bond made any argument his lawyer could have used about the warrantless arrest pretty much useless.

Is it double jeopardy to re convict someone if they served their time?

Answered by attorney Loren M. Dickstein
Criminal Law lawyer at Lewis Dickstein P.L.L.C.
Maybe and maybe not. The alalysis is a little more complex and I would need to know a little more about it. If the person did some time, for example, and the conviction was reversed on appeal, he or she may have to stand trial again.
