What are my chances of getting warrants dismissed?

Answered by attorney Joseph Briscoe Dane (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Joe Dane
Getting warrants recalled is the tip of the iceberg. Once you (or your attorney) appears, the judge will recall the warrant(s). From there, the question will be whether they will require that you post bail since you have three open cases with warrants. And once the warrants get squared away, there is still the issue of having three open misdemeanor cases you'll have to deal with. It's definitely time for an attorney.

Do I need to pay my fine for a $500 fine for petty theft?

Depending on the nature of the fine, one of 2 things will happen: (1) a bench warrant will be issued for your arrest, or (2) the fine will be sent to collections and the county will try to collect it with interest.

You should contact a competent criminal defense attorney familiar with these types of cases for assistance. It is puzzling as to why she would do this if it isn't true.
