Can I use my sisters bank card while she is in prison?

Answered by attorney Mark Tischhauser
Criminal Law lawyer at Tischhauser Law Group
Assuming you have her actual permission to do those things it is not likely you can be accused for fraud. However, you have placed yourself ina precarious position as many times people in prison get out and accuse peopel of stealing thier money and thier possessions even when they gave permission to do so or even a power of attorney.

What are the possibilities in being charged with possession of unlawful firearm with prior felonies while on parole?

Mark A. Broughton
Answered by attorney Mark A. Broughton (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Mark A. Broughton, PC
Yes, he will undoubtedly be charged with what we call a "felon in possession" of a firearm. No felon (and some other persons) can own or possess a firearm, either under state or federal law. As for the next steps, he really needs to hire a good lawyer. There is the potential here for significant prison exposure.

What should I do if my son was arrested for receiving a stolen items for a friend?

Answered by attorney Russell S Pietryga (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Pietryga Law Office
Did he know that he was receiving stolen property? Either way, he should get an attorney. If he cannot afford one, he should request that the court appoint an attorney for him. Hope this helps.
