If there is no conviction, it most likely will not appear on a background check. However, if you were arrested and booked, that may appear as an arrest on a background check.

How do I go about checking my criminal record?

Answered by attorney Andrew Stephen Roberts
Criminal Law lawyer at Roberts Law Group
The best way you can do that is to go to the DMV and get a copy of your driving record. It will show- unless the DMV dropped it off after such a long period. If you have not dealt with it for such a long period, you will have a warrant. You must get an attorney to clear this up for you.
