What can I do if I can’t afford an attorney to help my daughter who was charged with assault?

Jared Clayton Austin

Criminal Law lawyer at Austin Legal Services, PLC
The best way to help her is to hire an experienced criminal defense lawyer in her area or help her pay for one or raise funds for one. Otherwise, she will have to go with a court-appointed lawyer if she is eligible. Tell her to not make any statements about the case to anyone because that could come back to haunt her.

No. He will be released when DOC says he will be released. The classification officers frequently miscalculate the release date, and it would not hurt to have a private attorney do a calculation, or to do it yourself.
