Can two people be charged with the same murder if there's only one possible suspect?

Answered by attorney Francis John Cowhig (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Francis John Cowhig
Yes, if there is enough evidence to name the other person as an accomplice. Although only one person may have done the shooting, anyone who was with the shooter and/or corroborated with him can also be charged with murder.

Does this count as an arrest?

Answered by attorney Marshall S. Tauber
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Offices of Marshall S. Tauber
Not on your record. You were under investigation. They had no compelling reason to keep you in custody so they released you. Chances are that you could hear from the police again they might have included you in a request for a warrant from the prosecutor and, if that warrant is issued you will have to turn yourself in. They might have also thought that you were not involved and have no reason to charge you with a crime. It could go either way. Be careful.

Can you get a first offender felony expunged early in Georgia?

Answered by attorney Marc Albert Pilgrim (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Pilgrim & Associates, P.C.
You cannot get it the arrest expunged because that is what happens at the end of you Probation. You can ask for tour Probation to terminate early and then it will get off your record automatically. This is not easy in your case because you have restitution to pay but it can be done.
