If I'm 18 and got charges for the first time in my life, how will the court system react to this?

Your attorney is the best source to answer your question, since (s)he knows your case, the court and the D.A. involved better than anyone on this forum. With that said, if you were charged with a felony, you could be sentenced to prison for a minimum of 1 to 3 years. If you are charged with a misdemeanor, you could be sentenced to county jail for up to 1 year. Probation is always a possibility, but a lot depends on the court and D.A.

If you know someone has a warrant, you are under no obligation to report anything. IF the person is residing with you, you may be arrested for harboring a fugitive.

What types of charges or possible time can a person get if they're charged with four counts of criminal mischief?

Answered by attorney Stephen Lewis Freeborn (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Freeborn Law Offices P.S.
Don't understand your question? The charges are, as you stated, malicious mischief. Each count is punishable by up to a year in jail and a $5,000.00 fine. What kind of jail time or fine you receive, is based upon the facts of the case and whether or not you have any prior criminal history.
