How does the arraignment process usually work?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Cynthia Henley
Arraignment is the process of officially notifying someone of their charge. It is often waived if the person has a lawyer. You can be held until you make bond or the case is disposed. The cops file charges within 48 hours generally but you can be charged up until the time the statute of limitations runs out.

You will be on probation. So, your military plans will be on hold. Unless you are fortunate enough to retain the right attorney.

If I was convicted of hs11359, what are my second amendment options?

You would need a certificate of rehabilitation. The law prohibits possessing, owning or using any guns. At a trade show if you are handling guns that could be considered possessing so that is a problem. If you live with someone who owns a weapon you are asking to be charged. You might end up trying to prove that you do not own, use or possess the weapon from jail. If you are on probation you will be held without bail so you cannot post any amount of money and the only issue will be how long you spend in jail or prison.
