What if I cannot afford DUI classes?

If court ordered to attend, and you fail to do so, it is a violation of probation, and, yes, there will be a warrant issued for your arrest. For you to handle this, you must turn yourself into the court, with or without an attorney, and try to negotiate a plea bargain on the warrant and new Failure to Appear charges, and renegotiate any outstanding charges. Doing so voluntarily will result in a better outcome than you being brought in cuffs to court after arrest on the warrant. That will happen if you come in contact with law enforcement or customs anywhere in the US. Effective plea-bargaining, using whatever legal defenses, facts and sympathies there may be, could possibly keep you out of jail/prison, or at least dramatically reduce it, and may enable you to get your probation and programs reinstated. While this isn't a 'capital case', you certainly face potential jail and fines, so handle it right. Unless you're competent to effectively represent yourself in court against a professional prosecutor trying to put you in jail, most people hire an attorney who can. Go talk to your Public Defender, or ask for one when you go to court.

Does a DUI count as a second one if I got my first one in another state?

Answered by attorney Joseph Briscoe Dane (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Joe Dane
The good news is that a DUI can only be used as a prior for 10 years in California, so it shouldn't impact your current one. The prosecutor may not even know about it, but they can't legally use it as a prior, so I anticipate you'll face a first time DUI here in California.

Will I serve jailtime for driving on a suspended license?

There is a good chance the Judge will impose some jail for those offenses. Our office is usually successful in changing that to community service. For more info or a fee quote call.
