What happens if a guy who is 23-year-old has sex with a 17-year-old but she doesn't remember anything?

Answered by attorney Nathaniel D Shafer
Criminal Law lawyer at Natty Shafer Law
In Utah, it is not illegal for a 23 year old to have sex with a 17 year old, assuming she consents. Because she doesn't remember anything, there's a chance she will say she did not consent, but otherwise the 23 year old should be fine.

What are my daughters rights if caught shoplifting?

Answered by attorney Lawrence Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
She has the right to retain an experienced attorney. You were OK with her going to the store without you. So, the police, prosecutor and judge don't see any reason that you need to be contacted before they speak to her. If she cannot make decisions for herself, because she has some mental infirmity, then she should not have been allowed at the store by herself.
