What's the sentence for sending 40 grams of marijuana through the mail?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Lawrence Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
Of course, he is at risk because he arranged for the transport of marijuana. How can he be a good kid IF he is transporting marijuana? What is a bad kid? Is it the kid that injests the marijuana that your brother sent in the mail, and had an adverse reaction and kills everyone in his family? Is that the bad kid? What role does your "good brother" play in that. Please, sell that somewhere else. There is nothing to go about. If he is not caught that is the end of it. Since, you write he won't be doing it again. Worse case scenario he will be going to prison. Best case scenario, he will never hear another word about it. Panic attacks about what chair? The electric chair? This question is too ridiculous. Good luck.

If I filed a charge for domestic violence on my ex, do I need an attorney when going in court?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Dan Eugene Chambers (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Chambers Law Firm, P.C.
Unless you are being charged with a crime and qualify financially, you are not entitled to the services of the public defender. As a crime victim, you have certain rights that you may want to exercise. For that, you need to hire your own counsel.

Can the DMV suspend my license if the charges were dropped?

Answered by attorney Nicholas Belisle Lazzarini
Criminal Law lawyer at Young & Lazzarini
Upon being cited for most alcohol offenses, you have 10 calendar days to request a hearing with the DMV to prevent suspension of your license. After the request, the DMV will set an administrative hearing to determine if you license should be suspended based on the evidence presented and the DMV's own standard of proof. You may have an attorney represent you at the administrative. Failure to request a hearing within the statutory period will usually result in suspension of your license for up to 1-yr regardless of the outcome in criminal court. You may be able to appeal the DMV's findings. If not, you can apply for a limited use license once you have met the requirements of the DMV.
