Roxi's practice is primarily focused in the areas of immigration law and labor and employment law and involves advising individuals and small to medium sized businesses on all aspects of the law in these areas. She assists individuals and families in obtaining permanent resident status in the United States. She also works with businesses to assist them with the paperwork for obtaining the proper work authorization documents for employees. She represents employers and individuals in all areas of administrative proceedings, as well as litigation through the courts.
She is experienced with E1/E2, H-1B, J-1, K-1, K-3, L-1A/B, O, P, and R visas. She is very experienced with Investor Green Cards (EB-5) and has successfully represented more than 20 investors in obtaining their permanent resident status through an Investment in the US. She is also experienced in labor certifications, PERM, VAWA, and all aspects of family-based immigration and citizenship.
Her labor and employment law practice includes representing individuals in proceedings before the Ohio Civil Rights Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has successfully represented clients in various discrimination matters such as age discrimination, sex discrimination, sexual harassment, disability discrimination, religious discrimination, national origin discrimination, FMLA interference and retaliation, workers' compensation retaliation, national origin discrimination, whistleblower actions, USERRA, non-compete lawsuits, and wage and hour lawsuits.
A graduate of The Ohio State University, Roxi earned her J.D. degree from The Capital University Law School, with a concentration in labor and employment law. Prior to entering the private practice of law, Roxi served as a Human Resources Manager for an apartment-management company that managed 600+ apartment communities in 14 States and as Director of Training for a hotel-management company that managed 200+ hotels. Roxi also worked as a consultant and free-lance writer and has authored curriculum for the learning disabled. She was admitted to the practice of Law in Ohio, November 1998; was admitted to Federal Court, Southern District of Ohio, June 2001; and was admitted to the Federal Court, Northern District of Ohio, March 2003. Roxi is a Member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association, and the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association.
