Does my share of the property go to the trustee and can they sell the property or just a third interest if I file for bankruptcy?

In bankruptcy, if the debtor's share of a jointly-owned property is of sufficient value to merit liquidation (which is rare in chapter 7 bankruptcy), the bankruptcy trustee may sell the property in order to yield proceeds for creditors from the debtor's share. The other owners would be entitled to reimbursement. Note that assets for which title is held by a non-bankruptcy-filing spouse are presumably community assets (exceptions apply, such as non-commingled premarital assets or inheritance proceeds), and in that case, the spouse's "portion" counts as the debtor's portion.

What can I do if a co-borrower on an equity line filed chapter 13 bankruptcy?

His financial problems will not affect your credit or your ability to buy and sell property in any way.

If I will stop paying now, they will foreclose my loan, but will that action impact my credit since I have no personal liability towards the company?

Order a copy of your account history from your current lender & apply for a loan from a different lender. Your current lender has made the decision not to continue to accept you as a customer - move on! Many credit unions can provide you with mortgage financing at attractive terms even with your bankruptcy record. Since a foreclosure can further devastate your credit, I would suggest selling the property or offering a deed in lieu of foreclosure if you really want to walk away.
