I filed for bankruptcy in 2005, can I file again now?

Giovanni Orantes

You can file a 7 after the 8th anniversary of the date on which your previous petition was filed. Of course, you can file a 13 also, 4 years after a 7. If you filed a 13, the waiting time is only 2 years. And from a 13 to a 7, the wait is 6 years.

You find a new attorney the same way you found your current one. Ask around do your research and find a good attorney then contacted them. That attorney will contact your former attorney and do what needs to be done to get involved in the case.

If sheriffs gives me a 5 day notice can I file for emergency bankruptcy?

If you are just looking for 15 days delay, then filing bankruptcy is a terrible idea. Between the work involved in preparing the schedules, taking the pre-filing course, paying the filing fees.. you will save a lot of money by finding temporary housing for 15 days somewhere else.
