Can I file for bankruptcy just to try and have my student loans forgiven?

Daniel J. Winter
Answered by attorney Daniel J. Winter (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Law Offices of Daniel J. Winter
It might be possible to discharge student loans, but it is very difficult, and depends on each person's whole situation, and the results cannot be guaranteed. There have been only a few, limited cases around the country where loans are discharged in bankruptcy. It is important to contact an experienced bankruptcy attorney to discuss your options.

What do I do if I sold a small business and the purchases is not paying me the money he owes?

Answered by attorney John F Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
If the business was sold in Michigan or to a current Michigan resident you can sue here by hiring an attorney. This is an action of the contract. You should have recorded your security interest in the property ageist to the title and/or with the State of Michigan (and if not should do so now).
