If I show up for the meeting will the trustee liquidate my $11,000 and pay off my creditors or is it protected under the wild car exemption?

The wild card exemption only covers $1,000 in Nevada. Whether you show up for your 341 meeting or not, if you have $11,000 that isn't eligible for an exemption, your bankruptcy trustee can seize that money & use it to pay your debts.

It depends on the state where you live. In Arizona that answer is "maybe". There are a lot of other questions that need to be answered before your original question can be addressed.

Can someone keep their house if they file for bankruptcy?

Yes. A Chapter 13 bankruptcy could allow your friend to retain her home. You should have your friend contact an attorney to discuss whether a Chapter 13 would be possible with her income situation.
