What does he mean when he said that if I make additional payments, it will make filing faster?

Why ask another lawyer for advice when you are already paying a different lawyer to advise you? Your present BR lawyer presumably knows your affairs, and can advise you best. I'm not sure what is in your history to make this advice useful, but he or she likely does, so ask him or her. If you do not feel comfortable asking your lawyer a perfectly reasonable question, you should probably find a different lawyer.

Am I still responsible even if our chapter 7 bankruptcy was discharged in 2010?

If the mortgages were in existence before you filed for bankruptcy and the debts were listed on your schedules, they were most likely discharged by the court unless you reaffirmed the debt during the proceedings. If so, you are not legally obligated to continue paying for the debts. You also did not reaffirm the mortgages by continuing to make payments after the discharge was granted.

Can I sell condominium and keep profits from the sale after I surrendered it in bankruptcy if the case is not closed?

You can sell before your case is closed with court permission or after case is closed without court permission, assuming that the trustee did not sell the property first.
